DONORBOX ARTICLE

After a recurring donation is made, you should have received an email to set up your Donorbox donor account by creating a password. The donation email will be their username.

To edit your recurring donation as a donor, go to Donorbox.org and log in to your donor account by clicking the Donor Login link at the top of the page.

If you didn't set up your account via the setup email, please use the Forgot Password link. This will allow you to establish a donor account. 

You will then have access to your monthly donation plans. Click the Active link on the donation plan that you wish to edit.

On the next page, to change your donation amount, type a new amount in the text box under Amount and click the blue change link. Once you do this, you'll set up your new donation amount.

PAYPAL: Please note that, unfortunately, PayPal does not allow Donorbox to make edits for recurring donations. You will need to log in to your PayPal account directly and make your changes there.

Note: If you haven't claimed your donor account via the setup email, you can create a password to sign in to Donorbox through the password reset link here.

Once you log in, you can follow these steps:

Step 1

Click the Active button to the right of the donation plan (or anywhere within the white box for your plan) that you wish to edit. 

Step 2 

To change your payment information, click the Payment Method link.

Step 3

Enter your new payment information, and click Update My Card. 

If the organization has enabled bank transfers on their end, you'll also be able to switch from card payments to bank transfers, and vice versa. 

Once that's done, you're all set!

Pausing or Canceling Stripe Recurring Donations

After a recurring donation is made, an email is sent to donors to finalize setting up their donor account. Donors can use this account to edit and/or cancel their recurring donations.

To pause or cancel your recurring donation as a donor, go to Donorbox.org and log in to your donor account by clicking the Donor Login link at the top of the page.

If you didn't set up your account via the setup email, please use the Forgot Password link. This will allow you to establish a donor account. 

You will then have access to your recurring donation plans. Click the white box on the donation plan that you wish to cancel (see image below): 

Then, click the black "Pause this Plan" button to pause your plan or the red "Cancel this Plan" button to cancel your plan below your donation plan summary. Once you click the cancel button, your plan will be cancelled, and your card won't be charged anymore. 

Resuming Stripe Recurring Donations

After clicking the black "Pause this Plan" button to pause a plan, it will be replaced by a Resume Button, which allows you to resume your recurring donation plan at any time by clicking it.

Cancelling PayPal Recurring Donations

PayPal recurring donations are managed on the donor's PayPal account. It is not possible to change or cancel your PayPal recurring donations via Donorbox. For the most up-to-date information on how to cancel PayPal donations, please click here.

If you are a Donor and would like to change the date that your recurring donation is charged, you can follow these steps:

Step 1:

Log into your Donor account by going to the Donorbox website and clicking on "Donor Login" at the top of the page. 

Step 2:

You will see a list of all your recurring plans. Locate the one you want to change and click the "Active" link next to it, as shown here:

Step 3:

Click on "Change" below the section "Next Donation Date":

A date picker will appear. Select the new date that you want your recurring donation to be charged on and click the orange Update Plan button next to it.

Your new recurring date will be saved. All subsequent donations will be charged according to the new date you selected. You may log back in at any time to edit this date again.

DONORBOX ARTICLE

Recurring donations made through PayPal cannot be managed within Donorbox. Instead, they must be canceled directly from your PayPal account.
